Kate McLaren is Australia's welterweight boxing champion, holding both the New South Wales and Australasian ANBF titles. Trained by boxing legend Jeff Fenech, she claimed her championship on March 24, 2023, and currently holds the top-ranking position among women's welterweight boxers in Australia.

Originally from Essex, England, Kate pursued a career in modeling and presenting before finding her passion for boxing in Sydney, Australia. At 30 years old, McLaren's talent caught the eye of Jeff Fenech, leading her to turn professional and swiftly climb the ranks in both national and international competitions. She even served as a fight analyst for Australia's inaugural all-female boxing event.

In March 2023, McLaren achieved a major milestone by winning the NSW and Australasian Women’s Welterweight Championship, solidifying her status as the No. 1 boxer in Australia. Inspired by her journey, she established the 'It's Her’ Foundation in 2022 to empower young women and at-risk youth through community engagement and fitness programs.

Currently based in Bondi and training under coach Tony del Vecchio at the Bondi Boxing Club, McLaren remains dedicated to her goal of becoming a World Champion in boxing.
