Angus Bell, the son of Wallaby #729 Mark Bell, has cemented his status as one of the premier loosehead props of his generation. His talent was evident from a young age, as he made his Test debut against the All Blacks just 34 days after turning 20.
At 17, Angus signed with Rugby Australia and spent two years excelling in Newington College's 1st XV. He represented the Australian schoolboys team twice, captaining them in 2018. Transitioning to the NSW Waratahs, Angus showcased his skills on the global stage by competing in the 2019 World Cup with the Junior Wallabies, achieving a commendable second-place finish.
His debut for the Waratahs against the Crusaders was a significant milestone in his burgeoning career. Despite disruptions caused by COVID, Angus impressed Wallabies coach Dave Rennie, earning a development player spot and becoming the youngest front-rower since 1912 to face the All Blacks. Fulfilling a dream inspired by his father's legacy, Angus clinched a memorable victory against the All Blacks in Brisbane while representing the Wallabies.
To date, Angus has accumulated 31 caps and received a nomination for the prestigious John Eales Trophy during the World Cup year in France.
