Tyler Murphy
Founder and CEO of Support Mates

I come from a very different career background compared to where I’ve ended up – working in music entertainment and professional sport. I’d been volunteering in the disability space since I was 16 years old. After relocating from New York City to Australia, I learned about the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). I’d been working for the Gold Coast Titans managing their sponsorships – but had been volunteering my time with the Titan’s community department and their work with programs such as Touch Football Specialized and community engagement events where I got to know local families who had children with disabilities.  After a lot of soul searching and finding the courage, I decided to start Support Mates and hopefully build upon something I’m passionate about and turn into a career.
