#175. Suicide Prevention and Building Mental Resilience with Clint Adams

Last week on World Suicide Prevention Day we had the pleasure of podcasting with Clint Adams, a former police officer who studied psychology and later, rehabilitation. Clint's police, injury management, senior HR roles, and working with lum seekers have made him develop insights into the psychology and social interactions of individuals in trying conditions. He has developed various behavioural and leadership programs to help people deal with various issues from PTSD to bullying and harassment.

Clint's book, Lighting The Blue Flame, was published earlier this year – you can

How BSc is contributing to suicide prevention in Australia?

In September, BSc will share $1 from every online sale in support of the Black Dog Institutes Mullets For Mental Health.

On behalf of the team at BSc, Founder and Owner Greg Young will be supporting Mullets For Mental Health by growing his own lush mullet.

The Meaning Behind The Mullet

Suicide is the leading cause of death among Australians aged 15-44, and 60% of Australians reporting symptoms of mental illness don’t seek help. But together we can turn things around by funding mental health research, education, and innovation.

By taking on the mullet challenge, you are raising vital funds for research and education projects. You're also sparking conversations about the things we can do to support each other's mental health during a time of need
