FACEBOOK LIVE: Chef Jordan's Impressive Gnocchi Bolognese & Dessert!

Gnocchi Bolognese

Ingredients:
500g Beef mince
1 Tin tomatoes
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
150g Mushrooms
1 Red Onion
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
1 Garlic Clove
1 Tsp Thyme Picked
1 Sprig Rosemary
Pinch Chilli/Cinnamon
Salt & Pepper
Splash Red Wine
Parmesan Cheese to Taste

2 Minute Chocolate Protein Mousse

Ingredients:

45g BSc Clean Vegan Chocolate Protein

1 Tbsp Maple Syrup

1 Tsp Cocoa

250g Coconut Yoghurt

Gnocchi Bolognese

Method:

Heat a medium size pot with water, salt and bring to boil. While you are waiting for the water to boil dice your onion, mince the garlic and slice the mushrooms.

Once the water is boiling drop in the gnocchi, the gnocchi will be ready when it starts to float to the top. Scoop it out and place into a bowl, dress in olive oil so it doesn’t stick together.

Now the gnocchi is cooked place it to the side and place the pot back onto the stove, heat 1tbsp of olive oil and add your diced onion and garlic. Begin to sauté this for 2 minutes before adding your mushrooms, thyme and rosemary.

Cook the veg out for another 3 minutes before adding the tomato paste, you will need to cook this out for 2 minutes as well.

Grab your red wine and deglaze the pan with a large splash, using your wooden spoon move it around the bottom of the pan before adding the beef mince.

Using a whisk break the beef mince up once cooked out add the tinned tomatoes.

Season with salt and pepper and turn the Bolognese down to medium temperature and let t cook out for 15 minutes, containing to stir every 5 minutes.

After 15 minutes add the gnocchi, season again if needed and serve with parmesan cheese.

2 Minute Chocolate Protein Mousse

Method:

In a bowl combine maple syrup and coconut yoghurt.

Sift in protein powder and cocoa, use a whisk to combine mixture, place in the fridge to set for 20 minutes before serving with your choice of toppings.
