Peanut Butter Jelly Protein Pikelets

What better way than showing the ones you love how much you appreciate them, by homemade, love-filled pikelets! Our girl Zoe from Fika Nutrition has just the thing you need this Valentine’s Day morning. These adorable pikelets topped with warm peanut butter and jelly are the perfect sweet treat.

All our favourite things combined into a beautiful plate of goodness. When it comes to brunch in bed, it can be easy to get carried away and overwhelmed with the thoughts of having to present a 3-course brunch. However, this recipe is sure to bring joy to the lucky ones receiving them this Valentine’s Day morning! Without you having to spend hours in the kitchen. Let’s get into it!

Peanut Butter Jelly Protein Pikelets

Serves 1 Time 15 Minutes


3/4 cup buckwheat flour (approx. 120g)
1/3 scoop Clean Vegan Vanilla Protein
1 cup almond milk (approx. 250ml)
Dash of apple cider vinegar
1 tsp baking powder
Salt to taste


1. Add flour, baking powder, protein powder, baking soda and salt into a bowl.
2. Pour in almond milk and whisk well until a smooth batter has formed.
3. Spoon tablespoons of batter on a nonstick, heated pan. Cook until bubbles form and flip.
Repeat with rest of the batter.
4. Plate up and drizzle with peanut butter, jam and fresh berries or your favourite toppings and enjoy! Enjoy!
